with contractions,
with the feeling of loss,
I was in a full shame spiral.

The midlife threshold,
the dark mother,
the void,
the darkness
will show you all your shadows
and mine was SHAME.

It is a strange, powerful feeling to return to a place as an entirely different version of yourself.

The streets feel different.
The people feel different.

I am different.

This trip belonged mostly to family, so I was not able to catch

a dump of photos from our recent trip to the English countryside • my bones felt like they arrived home on these lands of lands.
